Objective

1

Understand the Goal

Your stickman stands on a platform. Ahead is a gap, and beyond it, another platform. Your job is to create a stick bridge long enough to reach the next platform — but not so long that it overshoots. Successfully cross as many platforms as possible to achieve the highest score.

Game Mechanics

2

Growing the Stick

When you press and hold, a stick begins to grow vertically from the edge of your current platform. The stick grows at a constant speed, so the duration of your hold directly determines its length. Watch the stick grow and estimate when it's the right length to reach the next platform.

3

Dropping the Stick

When you release, the stick falls forward like a bridge. If the far end of the stick lands on the next platform, your stickman walks across safely. If the stick is too short (it doesn't reach) or too long (it extends past the platform), the stickman falls and it's game over.

4

Scoring System

Each successful platform crossing earns you one point. Some versions offer bonus points for landing the stick perfectly in the center of the platform. The game tracks your current score and personal best, so you always have a target to beat.

5

Increasing Difficulty

As you progress, the gaps between platforms vary more dramatically. Some platforms are wide and forgiving, while others are narrow and demand extreme precision. The randomness keeps every round fresh and ensures no two games feel the same.

Tips for Beginners

💡

Start Slow

Don't rush. Take a moment to visually gauge the distance before you start holding. Look at where the next platform begins and ends. With practice, you'll develop an intuitive sense for how long to hold.

💡

Use Consistent Rhythm

Try to develop a mental rhythm for counting while you hold. For example, count "one-one-thousand, two-one-thousand" in your head. This helps you build a reliable sense of timing that translates to consistent stick lengths.

💡

Aim for the Middle

Rather than trying to barely reach the next platform, aim for its center. This gives you a margin of error on both sides. It's much better to slightly overshoot than to fall short — though going too far past the platform edge is still game over.

Advanced Techniques

🔥

Edge Reading

Advanced players learn to read platform edges quickly. As soon as the next platform appears, they identify its near edge and far edge, calculate the midpoint, and determine their target hold time — all within a split second. This rapid assessment becomes second nature with practice.

🔥

Calibration Rounds

Use your first few rounds as calibration. Pay attention to how long you hold versus how far the stick extends. Build a mental map of "hold time = stick length." Once calibrated, your accuracy will improve dramatically for the rest of the session.

🔥

Stay Calm Under Pressure

As your score climbs, the pressure mounts. Many players choke when they approach their personal best because anxiety causes them to rush or second-guess. Practice staying relaxed. Take a deep breath before each jump. Treat every platform the same, regardless of your score.
